When Alexandre Gedeon and Hugh Schwartz of InTown Architecture were tasked with renovating this modern penthouse apartment in Ipanema, Brazil, they decided to wrap the concrete columns in wood.

By wrapping the columns in the living and dining room, they were able to match the surrounding wood detailing in the interior and create a cohesive look.
