Jonathan Clark Architects has designed a new boutique in London, England, for chocolatier William Curley.
The small retail store measures in at 325 square feet (30m2), and has a vivid orange facade that draws inspiration from the lid of the boxes the chocolates are packaged in.
Stepping inside the retail store, there’s a graphic black and white squared ceramic floor, however, the main design detail are the whitewashed pine boxes cover the wall and ceiling.
The wall, which has a total of 25 boxes, is used for displaying products, while a mirrored background reflects the other side of the interior.
The box theme is transferred to the ceiling with 41 more pine constructed boxes of varying sizes that are suspended within a dark stained pine beam framework.
The boxes on the wall are internally lit highlighting the products within.
Central to the space is a custom Calacatta marble-clad climate-controlled display cabinet that used for displaying individual chocolates and patisserie.
